I am a board-certified OBGYN in practice for 30 years this coming July 1, 2024. During my time as an Obstetrician, I encountered a great deal of high-risk obstetrical patients, that included patients with high blood pressure, women with increased weight as well as diabetes. In those situations, it made her pregnancy quite difficult, and the potential for a cesarean section high. While I also saw patients with polycystic ovarian disease related to their increased weight, and irregular periods making their likelihood of conceiving a baby very low. Polycystic ovarian disease is also associated with high blood sugars putting them at risk of developing type 2 Diabetes. I came to Mochi not only to help those female patients who are having trouble losing weight which has contributed to making their pregnancies high risk as well as those patients with polycystic ovarian disease and infertility, but also those male patients as well. I am aware of the effects that increased weight has on the development of diabetes, heart disease as well as obstructive sleep apnea.
