Dr. McLendon is a board certified internal medicine physician with three years of primary care experience. She is board eligible in obesity medicine. Her clinical interests and areas of expertise include: weight loss management, nutrition, cognitive impairment, mental health, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, thyroid disorders, chronic kidney disease, women’s health, and hair loss. Education & Training: Dr. McLendon completed her undergraduate degree at Duke University. Subsequently, she earned her doctor of medicine (MD) from Texas A&M College of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at Houston Methodist Hospital. Care Philosophy: “My approach to patient care is to first treat people with kindness, to listen, and to understand where they are coming from. From there, I strive to provide evidence-based, holistic care to help empower my patients to become the best versions of themselves. I strongly believe in lifestyle changes as the primary means for optimizing health with medications to be used to assist when needed.
