Hi. My name is Dr. Jeffrey Hackworth. I went to Osteopathic medical school in the Bay area of California and completed residency in internal medicine in Kirksville, MO. I have since moved to the DFW area in Texas and am a practicing hospitalist. I have a long history of obesity with weight loss and gain throughout my life. Stress eating and cravings have always been an issue for me. At one point my BMI was 41, and I was making a lot of unhealthy decisions with my eating habits. I have been using tirzepatide for the past 9 months and currently have a BMI of 26. It has helped curb my poor habits and increased my healthy ones (more green foods, fiber, exercise). Obesity is very stigmatized in our society, and I understand too well the pain and shame surrounding being overweight. Weight loss medicine is a passion of mine, and I just want everyone to be successful in their journey and ultimately happy with themselves and with their lives.
