Dr. Kaivalya Vyas completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Irvine, earning a bachelor of science in neurobiology and a bachelor of arts in psychology. He subsequently earned his Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher (RYT-200) certification from Exhale Yoga School in Ahmedabad, India. He received his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and a master of public health degree from the University of Southern California. Dr. Vyas served a general surgery internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida, followed by an internal medicine internship at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He then completed a residency in osteopathic neuromusculoskeletal medicine at Larkin Community Hospital Palm Springs Campus, an integrative medicine fellowship through the University of Arizona, an addiction medicine fellowship at the University of Florida, and a pain medicine fellowship at Indiana University. He holds board certifications in his completed specialties and is board eligible in pain medicine. Throughout his training, Dr. Vyas gained additional clinical experience working part-time in local urgent care settings and providing telehealth consultation in addiction medicine, weight management, and urgent care. His clinical focus is integrative medicine. Outside of medicine, Dr. Vyas enjoys playing bass guitar and sitar, exercising, practicing yoga, and traveling.
