Lois Bridgewater MSN, APRN, FNP-C, CNM, is an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with nearly three decades of clinical experience in primary care, women's health, obstetrics, urgent care, and newborn care. She has been a Family Nurse Practitioner with CareSouth Medical & Dental since 2013, where she provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, managing both acute and chronic conditions while promoting preventive healthcare and wellness. She also serves as the founder of Bridgewater NP Consulting, LLC, providing medical chart review and clinical analysis for medical malpractice law firms. Prior to her current roles, Lois Bridgewater, practiced as a Certified Nurse-Midwife, delivering comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic care. Her extensive nursing background includes labor and delivery, postpartum, neonatal care, and high-risk obstetrics at several Level I and Level III hospitals throughout Louisiana. She also served as an Assistant Professor at Southern University School of Nursing, contributing to the education and clinical training of future registered nurses. Lois Bridgewater earned a Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Southern University School of Nursing, a Master of Science in Nursing and Nurse-Midwifery Certificate from Frontier Nursing University, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern University A&M College. She maintains active Louisiana licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Registered Nurse and holds national certifications as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse-Midwife. She is licensed in the following states: Louisiana, New York, Florida, Colorado, Utah and Nevada. She currently have pending licensure in New Mexico, Connecticut, Iowa and Arizona. She is an active member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives, the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, and the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health. Throughout her career, Lois Bridgewater has remained committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care while advocating for patient education, disease prevention, and improved health outcomes across diverse patient populations.
