FAQ

How long does it take for medication to arrive?

Prescriptions can take up to 10 days for delivery. Most people receive them in less time! If you have no updates (such as empty tracking numbers, etc) then please reach out to our customer service line for assistance.

What if my medication arrives warm or the ice packs are thawed?

This is a common concern, especially during warmer months, but it does not necessarily mean your medication is compromised.

Most GLP-1 medications remain stable at room temperature for up to 28 days. Each of our partner pharmacies performs their own stability testing to ensure safety and effectiveness, even with moderate temperature fluctuations during shipping.

What are the most common side effects?

GI issues like nausea, constipation, diarrhea, and heartburn. Fatigue can occur if you are not drinking enough water, are skipping meals or snacks, or are not eating enough protein.

Should I count calories?

It's optional. Some patients benefit from tracking to assess intake. Your dietitian can assist.

What should I eat if I'm not hungry?

Try small, nutrient-dense meals spaced throughout the day. Focus on protein first, and include high-fiber foods.

Do I have to be on the medication forever?

The medications are designed and approved for long-term use, and like other medicines, only work while you are taking them. Abrupt discontinuation often leads to weight regain. If you are interested in trying to taper down or off medications, do so under the care and direction of your provider.

Most common questions

How much weight do Mochi members lose on average?

Mochi members who enroll in medication based weight loss programs lose approximately 15% of their weight on average.

What can I eat when I am enrolled in Mochi program?

Anything! Our goal is not to impose dietary restrictions of any kind while you’re a part of the Mochi program! We work with you to establish your goals and determine medication-based weight loss treatment plans. You’ll work 1:1 on a video call with a registered dietician who can help make small changes for an overall healthier diet. No foods are off limits– we want these changes to be sustainable long term!

What should I know about the GLP-1 medication shortage?

While it is concerning to hear about various medication shortages in the news, we here at Mochi aim to deliver the highest quality and consistent care to our members. We have options for our patients to ensure consistent medication coverage with or without shortages. We’ll work with you and your pharmacy to make sure you have consistent access to medication.
