Active Ingredient:
Semaglutide
Compounded semaglutide is a non-FDA-approved formulation prepared by state-licensed compounding pharmacies. It contains the same active ingredient — semaglutide — as FDA-approved Ozempic and Wegovy, and acts as a GLP-1 receptor agonist. Compounded medications are prepared on an individual patient basis under a provider's prescription and are not interchangeable with FDA-approved products. Whether compounded semaglutide is appropriate for you, the specific dosing schedule, and the duration of treatment are determined by your Mochi provider.
Side effects
Most common: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, decreased appetite, fatigue, and injection-site reactions. Less common but serious: pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, kidney injury, hypoglycemia (with other diabetes meds), worsening diabetic retinopathy, and rare allergic reactions. Seek care for severe or persistent abdominal pain.
Avoid When
Personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN 2; history of pancreatitis; severe gastrointestinal disease (including gastroparesis); pregnancy or breastfeeding; known hypersensitivity to semaglutide. Use caution with insulin/sulfonylureas (hypoglycemia), a history of gallbladder disease, diabetic retinopathy, or significant kidney disease.
