SAN FRANCISCO, May 20, 2025—Mochi Health, a physician-guided obesity care program, today announced the launch of its insurance-based plans, which offer more personalized treatment experiences for patients. These expanded offerings place an emphasis on comprehensive obesity care, spanning all aspects of patient health, and reaffirm the company’s commitment to making high-quality, evidence-based weight-loss treatments accessible.

Mochi’s new offerings are an optional upgrade to Mochi’s existing plans. Patients can access either brand-name or compounded weight loss medication prescriptions, along with routine video consultations with a physician and registered dietitian. Additionally, patients can use services such as labs, genetic testing, assessments for sleep apnea, advanced medical nutrition therapy, customized diet planning, comprehensive health risk evaluations, and in-depth health risk assessments and monitoring.

As part of these enhanced offerings, Mochi now offers behavioral therapy as a treatment option, addressing a vital, but often deprioritized, element of weight loss treatment. Patients will have the ability to check in with a behavioral therapist throughout their weight-loss journey, ensuring their mental and emotional health are also addressed.

Mochi’s expanded offerings blend personalized care with comprehensive support, recognizing that effective treatment is unique to the individual. With nearly three-quarters of U.S. adults classified as overweight or obese and one in eight Americans resorting to GLP-1 medications, the weight loss industry must address the needs of each patient.

“Weight loss is a complex and personal process that requires individualized approaches,” said Dr. Myra Ahmad, CEO of Mochi Health. “Successful treatment offers a blend of clinical research and medical expertise with the individual's unique budgets, needs, challenges, and goals.”
