Alexander Young, PsyD, LP, HSP is a licensed clinical health psychologist with a passion for whole-person care. He has over a decade of experience working with individuals across the lifespan—from children to older adults—in hospitals, primary care clinics, and virtual care settings. His work focuses on the intersection of mental and physical health, and he often supports patients preparing for surgery, managing chronic health conditions, or navigating major life transitions.
Known for a collaborative and down-to-earth style, he uses evidence-based approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help people move toward meaningful change. He believes in partnering with his patients, helping them feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their care.
In addition to clinical work, he teaches graduate students, supervises early-career clinicians, and contributes to professional organizations focused on integrated care and health equity. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his dog Auby and exploring new experiences.
