Active Ingredient:
Tirzepatide
Compounded tirzepatide is a non-FDA-approved formulation prepared by state-licensed compounding pharmacies. It contains tirzepatide as an active ingredient and acts on both GIP and GLP-1 receptors. Compounded medications are prepared on an individual patient basis under a provider's prescription and are not interchangeable with FDA-approved products. Whether compounded tirzepatide is appropriate for you, the specific dosing schedule, and the duration of treatment are determined by your Mochi provider in the context of your individual clinical picture.
Side effects
Most common: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, decreased appetite, abdominal discomfort, fatigue, and injection-site reactions. Less common but serious: pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, kidney injury (often from dehydration), hypoglycemia (especially with insulin/sulfonylureas), and rare allergic reactions. Stop the medication and seek care for severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, or signs of an allergic reaction.
Avoid When
Personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN 2; history of pancreatitis; severe gastrointestinal disease (including gastroparesis); pregnancy or breastfeeding; known hypersensitivity to tirzepatide or any excipient. Use caution with insulin or sulfonylureas (hypoglycemia risk) and with a history of gallbladder disease or diabetic retinopathy.
